The Swedish company, Jolla, has been known to manufacture and distribute smartphones with the Linux Sailfish operating system based on Linux MeeGo. Now, thanks to the money collected through the Indiegogo platform, the funds needed to create his first tablet have been earned. Jolla Tablet is a device of decent specification and very attractive price.
Jolla has just earned a crowfunding crown of $ 380,000 (they have managed to accumulate in just one hour) to bring the first tablet model to market.
The device called Jolla Tablet surprises with exceptionally strong technical specifications. We have a 7.85-inch 2048 x 1536 pixel touchscreen display, a 64-bit quad-core Intel processor, 32GB of usable memory, a 5 megapixel camera and a 4300 mAh battery. The most interesting is the price, which for the basic model is only $ 189.
Jolla Tablet, like its predecessors, works on Android with Sailfish overlay, and the user interface will be extremely minimalistic so as not to distract unnecessary bytes. The first deliveries to customers are planned for next May.
